SWITCH, the stylish karaoke bar, celebrated its grand opening in October 2023. Adorned with captivating purple accent lighting, this venue offers an atmospheric experience all its own. Situated on the vibrant Robson Street, SWITCH boasts 16 private rooms available for hourly karaoke rental, ensuring guests have an ideal space for their singing sessions. Beyond karaoke, a remarkable cocktail bar adds to the allure of the venue. SWITCH is more than just a karaoke destination; it’s a nightlife destination. Check them out for yourself

! Important: The physical books were completely removed as they were always covered in beer and had to be reprinted every time a new song was added to the system. 

First, let's break down this problem...

Customers have expressed frustration as they encountered challenges in accessing fundamental features, such as song selection and language preferences within the karaoke bar. These difficulties have not only affected their overall experience but have also resulted in loss of sales.

The time-consuming song selection process, language restrictions, and the lack of user-friendly features completely undermined customer satisfaction and crippled a new business.

The Solution.

A user-friendly and accessible mobile application that enables patrons to access their favorite songs and have an amazing time singing their hearts out.

But what we did have was previous reservation DATA!

Pulled Google Reviews

Gathered all negative reviews and created a list of common complaints with the current system.

Pull Reservation Data

We collected the number of each party, number of hours spent, time of day and much more!

Word of mouth

Employees were asked to request feedback from customers as they completed their time in the room.

Next

We compiled a list and matched to a feature that the app should have.

Ideate

Created a rough sketch of the app to get the ball rolling and initiate a conversation with the developers.

ONE weekend to test the app with a sample size of customers and get LIVE feedback.
